Welcome to video 4, of 34 in this series of 34, two minute videos outlining the key concepts in my new book Made to Thrive.
Made to Thrive identifies the 5 key roles that you must undertake to go from being a good leader, to being a great leader.
These five roles are Accountability, Ambassador, Culture, Strategy and Succession Planning.
Today we’re going to be talking broadly about the Accountability role. 1.0 Accountability – There is accountability for all employees and suppliers Within the Accountability chapter, we’re going to go through the 5 key things that managers and leaders must do to ensure that they are able to execute on the Accountability role effectively.
These five items are
1.0 the headline is that there is accountability for all employees and suppliers.
1.1 All employees understand every aspect of what it takes to succeed in their role
1.2 All employees report to their peers weekly on the two KPIs which define their role.
1.3 Failure has a consequence which is transparent and is known by all employees and suppliers.
1.4 All team meetings are conducted with an agenda and data is available to effectively make decisions during meetings.
And finally 1.5 Internal and external employees and suppliers who do not consistently perform are rapidly removed from the business.
