5.2 Products and services at risk of decline or disruption are mapped quarterly | Made to Thrive 30/34
Welcome to video 30 in this series of 34 two-minute videos detailing the key concepts in my new book, “Made to Thrive.”
“Made to Thrive” outlines the five key roles that a leader must undertake to transition from being a good leader to being a great leader.
Those five roles are, accountability, ambassador, culture, strategy and succession planning.
Today, we’re talking about succession planning and in particular, 5.2. Products or services at risk of decline or disruption are mapped quarterly and actions are identified to replace these revenues.
In a business, revenues or total sales can be split into what is sold and where it’s sold.
When we only look at the top lines, we often don’t see changes that are happening.
Risks that are appearing to products or services or locations that could significantly impact the consistency of results.
Perhaps, a region is reducing its gross profit or its sales because of increased competition or reduced demand.
The question is, what are you going to do about it.
In order to achieve consistent results, you need to be able to rely on a system that will identify any trends that are concerning around products or services that are potentially in decline or about to be disrupted.
And any geographies that are of concern so that you can achieve those consistent results.
