What Is The Compounding Growth Scorecard?

The Compounding Growth Scorecard is a free business growth assessment for mid-market companies. It measures your business across the five disciplines that determine whether a company compounds: Vision, Strategy, Leadership, Execution and Economic Engine. Twenty-five questions, under five minutes, and you’ll see exactly where your business is drifting, where it’s accelerating, and where it’s already compounding.

It was built by Evolution Partners, a leadership team coaching firm for mid-market companies, drawing on more than 1,000 business plans built with owner-led businesses over twenty years. It isn’t a personality quiz or a lead form dressed up as a diagnostic. It’s the same lens our coaches use to assess a business in the first meeting, made available to any leader who wants a straight answer.

Who It's For

The Scorecard is built for owners and CEOs of businesses in the $10 million to $100 million revenue range. If you lead a company at that scale and any of these sound familiar, the Scorecard will show you why:

  • Growth has slowed and you can’t clearly say what’s constraining it
  • Plans get written but don’t stick past one month
  • The leadership team works hard but aren’t cohesive
  • Revenue is growing and cash or profit isn’t keeping pace
  • You’re carrying more of the business than you should be

What You'll Get

Your score, instantly. On-screen results the moment you finish, across all five disciplines, with each rated as Drifting, Accelerating or Compounding.

An in-depth report to your inbox. Written feedback on each discipline showing where your growth is compounding and where it is drifting: what your answers reveal, what strong looks like at your size, and what to address first. Not generic tips; the report is built from your specific answers. The difference between growing and compounding is usually a few things the leadership team hasn’t seen clearly yet, and the report’s job is to make them visible.

A free debrief with a coach. A working session with an Evolution Partners coach to walk through your results, pressure-test them against what’s really happening in the business, and leave you with a clear view of your biggest constraint. No pitch, no obligation. It’s a useful conversation whether or not we ever work together.

The Three Levels: Drifting, Accelerating, Compounding

Drifting means the discipline is running on habit rather than design. Drifting businesses can still grow, but growth is fragile and depends on effort rather than system.

Accelerating means the discipline is deliberate and improving. The foundations are in place and results are building, but the gains still lean on a few key people.

Compounding means the discipline is systematised and strengthening itself. Each quarter builds on the last, the leadership team carries it without the owner pushing, and results stack year on year. Compounding across all five disciplines is what separates enduring, great companies from busy ones.

Most mid-market businesses that complete the Scorecard find they’re compounding in one or two disciplines and drifting in at least one. That gap is normally where growth is leaking.

The Five Disciplines It Measures

Leadership Team Coaching

Vision

Whether the business knows where it’s going, and whether the leadership team could all give the same answer.

Leadership Team Coaching

Strategy

Whether you have a differentiated strategy that guides decisions, or a plan that describes activity.

Leadership Team Coaching

Leadership

Whether the leadership team is aligned, accountable and growing, or dependent on the owner.

Leadership Team Coaching

Execution

Whether priorities are set, met and reviewed in a disciplined rhythm, or whether the urgent beats the important.

Leadership Team Coaching

Economic Engine

Whether profit, cash and the numbers that drive them are understood, forecast and improving.

Why We Built It

Evolution Partners coaches the leadership teams of mid-market companies who want to scale.

Across twenty years and more than 1,250 business plans, the same pattern repeats: businesses don’t stall because their people stop working hard. They stall because one or two of the five disciplines quietly drift while everyone’s attention is on the others.

The Scorecard exists to make that visible in five minutes instead of five quarters.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the Compounding Growth Scorecard take?

Under five minutes. It’s 25 questions, answered on a simple scale, designed to be completed by a CEO or owner without preparation.

Is the Scorecard really free?

Yes. The assessment, the emailed report and the coach debrief are all free. We built it because it’s the fastest way to have a useful first conversation with a business, whether or not that business ever becomes a client.

Who should complete it?

The owner, CEO or managing director of a business between $10 million and $100 million in revenue. It also works well as a leadership team exercise: have each member of the team complete it separately and compare results in your next leadership meeting. The gaps between answers are usually more revealing than the scores.

What happens after I complete it?

You’ll see your results on screen immediately, receive a detailed written report by email, and be invited to book a free debrief with an Evolution Partners coach to work through what your results mean

Is this a sales funnel?

It’s honest to say some businesses that complete the Scorecard go on to work with us. Most don’t, and the report and debrief are built to be genuinely useful either way. There’s no pitch in the debrief and no follow-up sequence pressuring you to buy.

How is this different from other business health checks?

Most business assessments test whether you’re following one particular framework. The Compounding Growth Scorecard measures outcomes across the five disciplines every enduring company must get right, whatever system you run, and it’s built specifically for mid-market complexity rather than for startups or small business.
